Writing a book can be very difficult.

I do not find the actually writing, phasing and construction of the novel difficult. It is more a problem of anxiety that builds up inside. This desire to write something good.
I will often sit and write all day, three, five chapters. The I will have something else to do and I leave it to rest. Afterwards, when I revisit those chapter after a few days or weeks, frankly I find that it is the biggest pile of crap on the planet. So then I settle down. Reflect on why I wrote it that way.
I avoid deleting anything ever, I always save it, on dozens of USBs. I try to never delete stuff.
That may be why so many writes find that the computer has ruined writing. It destroys the traces of the personal though of the writer, the corrections and revision and the entire evolution of the literary creation.
